Postage stamp kind: summary of the different intended styls of a postage stamp

Official postage stamp: postage stamp issued by a public postal administation

Semi-official postage stamp: postage stamp issued on behalf of a private indi-vidual or company with the toleration of a public postal administration

Private postage stamp: postage stamp issued by a private person or company

Private postage stamp: postage stamp issued by a privat postal company (e.g. local post)

Unissued postage stamp: postage stamp that was not issued but ended up in the stamp trade
